In addition, plants here are not easy to grow and mainly are shallow-rooted herbaceous plants. Because the land contains high salinity, the plants that can grow here are mainly salt-tolerant and drought-tolerant coastal plants, such as Saltwater Smut Grass, Purslane, Sea blite, and reeds. Among them, the Saltwater Smut Grass will change color with the dry and wet seasons. green in the rainy season and yellow in the dry season. The environment in the area is special, the trees are not easy to grow, and the plants are mainly shallow-rooted coastal plants that are salt-tolerant and drought-tolerant. Qieding wetland is a grassy ecology, and it has an excellent scenery view, and when the cement jungle is more and more, such a good vision is becoming more and more precious.

This winter, a large group of stilts came to QieDing wetlands. They are unforgettable beautiful winter migratory birds. The area of Qieding wetland park covers an area of more than 100 hectares. In winter, it attracts a large number of migratory birds for passing winter. It is the largest winter habitat for migratory birds in the south of Taiwan. Qieding wetland is the home of the black-faced spoonbill. Every winter, they will return to the wetland by means of the northeast monsoon and spends the winter here. When the spring comes next year, they will fly north to their hatchery and breeding place, the uninhabited islands on the border between North and South Korea. It is a rare winter migratory bird in Taiwan. it is widely distributed in the world and has no threat of serval. It is not listed as a protected bird. The mangroves in the area number 15th of Qieding wetland are plants that grow in tropical and subtropical regions. The litters will break down into organic nutrients, providing plankton utilization with tides and the best living environment for benthic organisms. It also provides a rich food source for fish, shrimps, and shellfish, forming a complete food chain. Sandpiper is a common winter migratory bird and the most smaller of piper family. It is rarely an activity in the group except for migration. Sandpipers are almost foraging all day. The same color for the male and female bird, the breeding period is from May to July. The neighbor of this mudflat is mudskipper, it has very beautiful blue stripes. During the breeding season, the male will open their mouths and arch their backs, raise their dorsal fins, and constantly twist their bodies to attract females.
